Like many others here, I’m currently in the process of backing up most of my stuff to other websites. Note: I’m NOT leaving Tumblr as of now, nor I’m gonna delete my blog. HOWEVER, I’m definitely gonna backup both my uploads and my story. As for regular simming picspam, memes and off topic stuff (aka, 99,9% of the content of my blog when I’m not posting downloads or my story), I’m not quite sure what to do. Probably still gonna use Tumblr for that, mainly because I have no idea where else to go. Pillowfort is still in beta, WordPress is a huge NOPE for me as long as their GDPR policy stays as shitty as it is and I also have no idea what Dreamwidth’s policy with the GDPR is (their privacy policy was last updated in 2010, their TOS was updated in 2013 and there’s no mention of the GDPR anywhere as of now -____-), so I’m not sure I want to risk using it full time. But! I do have an account on there, and I can still follow people from it U____U
Soooo… here’s where you can find me other than Tumblr:
-
The Emergency Coven @ Blogspot (story backup blog);
-
The Path of Nevermore @ Blogspot (sims cc backup blog);
-
Dreamwidth (old blog, has a couple of story posts in Italian back from the LJ days, might delete those at some point once I figure out what to do with that place);
-
Instagram (only art & resin crafts related stuff, no simming involved);
Reblogging with more info: I *think* I somehow managed to fix the GDPR issue on WordPress, so I decided to revive my story backup blog on there as well, which can be found here (the backup on there, unlike the one on Blogger, is 100% complete).
I also deleted my old Italian posts from the aforementioned Dreamwidth blog and I plan on using it to post sims stuff on there, at least until I figure out what Tumblr is gonna do about reblogsofnevermore and/or what happens after December 17th. Dreamwidth’s policy about the GDPR is still vague at best (I asked the staff about it, turns out they basically have no idea how it works and think it only affects the EU, which is sadly not true, so it is still up in the air whether they’ll decide to do something about it in the future or not), but… yeah. I guess for now I’ll be on there anyway.
